Upholstery collects far more than it shows. A sofa absorbs dust, skin cells, food residue and cooking smells for years, and vacuuming only lifts what sits on the surface. Homi arranges furniture cleaning across Amman for sofas, mattresses, carpets and curtains, with providers who bring their equipment to your home and clean everything in place.

What furniture cleaning covers

Four things, each priced separately so you only pay for what you actually need: sofa cleaning, mattress cleaning, carpet cleaning and curtain cleaning. You can book one item or all four in the same visit, and booking them together is the sensible option since the team is already set up in your home.

Each has its own page with the detail specific to it: sofa cleaning, mattress cleaning, carpet cleaning and curtain cleaning.

Everything is done on site. Nothing is collected, taken to a facility, and returned days later. The equipment comes to you and the job is finished in a single visit.

Sofa and upholstery cleaning

Sofas are the most requested item, and the most rewarding to clean because the difference is so visible. The service covers deep vacuuming to lift embedded grit, treatment of the fabric, and extraction of the dirt that vacuuming alone leaves behind. Cushions, arms, backs and the frame area are all included.

Pricing depends on the number of seats, so when you book, count the seats rather than describing the sofa. An L-shaped sofa is priced on its seat count in the same way as a straight one, so a five-seat corner unit costs the same as a five-seat sofa.

Different fabrics need different handling, and a fine weave, a heavy weave and leather are three different jobs. Tell us what your sofa is made of when you book, or send a photo, so the right method and materials are used.

Mattress cleaning

The one people forget, and arguably the one that matters most. You spend around a third of your life on a mattress, and over time it accumulates dust mites, dead skin and perspiration deep in the padding, none of which comes out with a change of sheets.

For anyone in the household with asthma, eczema or dust allergies, mattress cleaning tends to make a more noticeable difference than anything else in this list. Pricing is by mattress size: single, queen or king.

Both sides are treated where the mattress can be turned. If yours is a one-sided or very heavy mattress, mention it when you book.

Carpet and rug cleaning

Carpets are cleaned in place, at your home, and priced by area rather than per item, so a large rug costs more than a small one, which is the fairest way to do it. If you are not sure of the size, a rough measurement in metres is enough, or send a photo with something for scale.

Cleaning lifts ground-in grit, restores flattened pile, and reduces the stale smell that carpets develop in rooms without much airflow.

Curtain cleaning

Curtains hold dust, cooking smells and cigarette smoke, and in Amman they collect a surprising amount of fine street dust. They are cleaned while hanging, so nothing is taken down, taken away or rehung. Tell us the fabric and the rough drop and width when you book.

How the process works

Inspection

The team looks at the fabric type, checks for existing damage, and identifies any stains that need separate treatment. If something is unlikely to come out, you are told before work starts rather than after.

Deep vacuuming

Loose grit and dust are removed first. Skipping this step turns dry dirt into mud once moisture is introduced, which is why a proper job always starts here.

Treatment and agitation

Cleaning solution appropriate to the fabric is applied and worked into the fibres so it reaches the embedded soiling rather than sitting on top of it.

Extraction

The solution is drawn back out along with the dirt it has lifted. This is the part that separates a real clean from a surface wipe, and it is why the item is damp rather than wet afterwards.

How booking works

Choose furniture cleaning and tell us what you have: the number of sofa seats, mattress sizes, rough carpet dimensions and any curtains. Then pick a date and confirm. Photos help us confirm the right approach before the team arrives, and they take a minute to send.

You can book on the website or by phone. We operate from 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, and our mobile app is launching soon.

How much does sofa and carpet cleaning cost?

Pricing is per item, which keeps it predictable. Sofas are priced by seat count, mattresses by size, and carpets by area. Fabric type and the condition of the item can affect the final figure, and booking several items in one visit is more economical than separate visits.

You see the full cost before confirming. Nothing is added afterwards.

You see the price before you confirm the booking, and there are no hidden fees.

How long does furniture take to dry?

Typically four to six hours, depending on the fabric, how humid the day is, and how well the room is ventilated. Thick upholstery and dense carpet sit at the longer end.

Book a morning slot if you want everything usable by the evening, and open the windows once the team leaves. Avoid putting cushions back or replacing bedding until the item is fully dry, or you will trap the moisture.

Will old stains and smells come out?

Being straight with you: most will improve significantly, some will lift entirely, and a few will not. Fresh spills come out most reliably. Old stains that have set into the fibres, and anything dye-based such as ink or hair colour, may fade rather than disappear.

Odours generally do improve, because the smell usually lives in the residue being extracted rather than in the fabric itself. Send a photo before you book and you will get an honest assessment of what to expect rather than a promise that cannot be kept.

How often should upholstery be cleaned?

Around once a year for a sofa in normal use. Every six months if you have young children, pets, or you eat in the living room. Mattresses benefit from roughly every six months, more often in a household with allergies.

A deep clean does not include sofas, mattresses, carpets or curtains, because they need entirely different equipment and a separate booking. If you want the soft furnishings and the property itself both covered, book the two services and we will schedule them sensibly.

Areas we serve in Amman

We cover all of Amman, including Abdoun, Dabouq, Khalda, Deir Ghbar, Shmeisani, Tla' Al Ali, Jubeiha and Sweileh. The team needs somewhere to park within reasonable reach of the entrance, since the equipment is carried in. If access is difficult, let us know when you book.
