Car interior cleaning is part of Homi's car wash and cleaning service in Amman. It is the standard cabin clean: everything vacuumed, everything hard wiped, glass finished, and the car handed back tidy. Confirm the location details when you book.
What interior cleaning covers
The cabin is emptied of loose items and rubbish, then vacuumed thoroughly: seats and seat backs, the rails and the floor beneath them, all footwells, the parcel shelf and the boot. Mats come out and are cleaned separately rather than vacuumed in place, because the dirt underneath them is usually worse than the dirt on top.
Hard surfaces are then cleaned: dashboard, instrument binnacle, centre console, gear surround, cup holders, door cards, handles, switchgear, sun visors, seat belt buckles and the door shuts. Interior glass and mirrors are done last so they are not marked by later work.
How it differs from car dry cleaning
This is the distinction people most often get wrong. Interior cleaning is a dry job with light cleaning agents on hard surfaces. It removes dust, crumbs, sand, grit and surface grime, and it makes the car look and feel clean.
What it does not do is pull anything out of the fabric. Soiling that has soaked into a seat or a carpet, such as a spilled drink, a long-term stain or an absorbed smell, sits below the surface, and no amount of vacuuming reaches it. That requires car dry cleaning, which uses fabric treatment and extraction and takes considerably longer.
A useful rule: if the problem is what is sitting on the surfaces, book interior cleaning. If the problem is in the fabric, or you can smell it, book dry cleaning. If you are not sure, send a photo when you book and we will tell you which one you actually need.
Amman dust and the vents
Cars in Amman collect fine dust continuously, and much of it ends up in places a quick clean skips. Air vent slats hold a visible line of it, and it blows straight back onto a freshly cleaned dashboard the moment the fan is switched on. Vents are done with brushes and compressed air rather than a cloth, because a cloth simply pushes dust deeper into the housing.
The same applies to the gaps that ordinary cleaning ignores: the seams between the seat base and backrest, the runners under the seats, the channel around the handbrake, the tray in the door pocket and the space between the console and the seat where everything eventually falls.
If your car spends time on unpaved ground or has been parked outside during a dust event, mention it at booking. It is a slower job and worth the extra time.
Dashboard, trim and screens
Dashboards get the wrong product more often than any other surface in a car. Anything heavily silicone-based leaves a shine that reflects into the windscreen at night and attracts dust within days. The team uses a matt finish that cleans the plastic and leaves it looking like plastic.
Piano-black trim, which is on almost every modern centre console, scratches if wiped with anything gritty. It is dusted before it is wiped, never the other way round. Screens and instrument displays are cleaned with a dedicated cloth and no solvent, and cameras and sensors around the cabin are left alone.
Leather and leatherette seats are cleaned with a product intended for them and wiped dry, not left damp. Perforated leather needs particular care because liquid sitting in the perforations works its way into the foam beneath.
Interior glass
The inside of a windscreen carries a film that most drivers stop noticing until they drive into low sun and cannot see. It comes from plastics off-gassing in the heat, and in Amman summers that happens quickly.
All interior glass is cleaned, including the awkward lower band of the windscreen behind the dashboard, the rear screen, the quarter glass and the rear-view mirror. Glass is finished after every other surface, since anything cleaned afterwards will spot it.
Boot and door pockets
The boot is the part of the car people forget to ask about and then judge the result by. It is emptied, vacuumed, the boot lip and the seals are wiped, and the underfloor compartment is cleaned where it opens easily.
Door pockets, the glovebox and the console bin collect years of receipts, sand and loose change. Tell us at booking whether you want them emptied or left alone. If there is anything personal or valuable in the car, take it out beforehand. The team will not move documents or valuables, and it keeps the job simple for everyone.
How car interior cleaning is priced
By service level and vehicle size. A compact hatchback and a large seven-seater are not the same amount of work, and a basic cabin tidy and a full detailed interior are not either, so both variables count. You see the price for your vehicle and chosen level when you book, before you confirm.
Larger vehicles are covered on our SUV cleaning page, which explains what changes with the extra glass, upholstery and a third row. If the fabric itself needs treating, look at car dry cleaning instead, and if the paintwork is your concern, see car polishing.
You see the price before you confirm the booking, and there are no hidden fees.
How to book
Choose car cleaning, tell us the vehicle and the level you want, and pick a date. Photos of the cabin help us judge the time needed and bring the right products. Confirm the location details when you book. We operate 9 AM to 9 PM, seven days a week, and our mobile app is launching soon.
We cover all of Amman, including Abdoun, Dabouq, Khalda, Deir Ghbar, Shmeisani, Tla' Al Ali, Jubeiha and Sweileh.
